And all you CA thought Evol were Devs ...
Most retarded and unfair decision Ive ever heard of
Reads to me like "Im too lazy to use common sense on petitions so I'll not only replace their ships but my level of laziness is so high I wont even take back the 110 mil insurance payout they got"
Hurry up with next patch coz I will be self destructing about 10 insured battleships !!

That reply, whilst VERY welcome to such a hot topic goes NO WAY WHATSOEVER into addressing this cluster ****
"The scenario where you get your ship back and get to keep your previous insurance payout: This was the mass reimbursement procedure. Since these cases were 10-15 days old, mass deducting insurance payout would have caused a lot of grief to players, setting their wallets to negative and it was decided that it would be the compensation for waiting so long."
So what compensation to the people who havent played the game coz its so laggy or were smart enough to not risk there main ships so soon after EVE's biggest ever patch ??
You have still shown complete and utter contempt for those who did not benefit from this isk dump
Just because the payout is a fraction of the money EVE has floating around is missing the players point by a country mile
You MUST take back the insurance payout if they get their ship back otherwise you are rewarding hundreds (thousands) of players with potentially hundreds of millions of isk whilst stiffing the rest.
To MANY players 100 million isk is a lot of money
Give everyone else 100 million isk OR take away the insurance payouts. I dont understand how you cannot see this is a complete and utter farse and a kick in the balls for those people who killed players fair and square or who have been relatively inactive due the poor state of the game.
Mass rewards should be exactly that, MASS !! Not Selective !!

Edited by: The Slavetrader on 10/12/2004 16:27:52 And you seem to mis-understand what the players are saying evidenced here:
"The scenario where you can blow up your ship to get default insurance: Don't. Either sell it or insure it. However, chances are you will need a ship after you loose the one that you sit in today, right?"
This is NOT what we mean. What we mean is you have X amount of battleships and they are all insured for 100%. When that insurance runs out its often beneficial to self destruct the BS, get the 110 mil insurance payout. Build yourself a new one and insure it again.
Now we will all take out 100 % insured BS's out of the hangars after next patch and explode them getting 110 mil isk. We will then petition, get a new BS free of charge and still have that 110 mil sitting in our pocket. That is exactly what a handful of these cases would have been and exactly what you are encouraging next patch

Still missing the points aren't you CCP, still missing the fact that you have given a SIGNIFICANT reward to a MINORITY of players and you cannot seem to fathom that is WRONG ??
When CCP/GM's say "We are confident there will be no long term effects on EVE" they mean 'We are confident that even though we have shafted most of you we are betting that because of the time you have invested into the game you wont leave over this utterly poor move and we will still collect the same wage at end of month so F.U all'
